domestic violence specialists, law enforcement,
healthcare providers, and community organizations,
the PSQM aims to create a more coordinated and
effective response to coercion and control. This
collaborative effort can lead to innovative solutions that
address the complex nature of domestic violence and
coercively controlling groups, potentially resulting in
systemic changes that improve outcomes for survivors
and enhance accountability for perpetrators.
In conclusion, the holistic, trauma-informed, pattern-
based approach facilitated by the PSQM has the
potential to transform how coercive control is addressed
at multiple levels, from individual interventions to
broader policy reforms. By integrating the concepts
of collaboration, adaptive victim responses, and
recognition of the harmful nature of coercive control,
this approach may ultimately contribute to a more
effective and comprehensive system for addressing
coercive control within families, communities, groups,
and systems.
