by the federal government to kidnap children. Diego
Rodriguez equates “manstealing” (i.e., kidnapping)
to “all abortion and all other great evils” and claims
that, “God says those people who kidnap ...by force are
worthy of death” (Miller Skow, &Stumphauzer, 2022,
13:15). All of the supposed facts in the film are offered
without any proof or evidence.
In July 2022, Bundy and others named in the lawsuit
refused to respond to the lawsuit and in public
appearances continued to repeat the same potentially
slanderous comments about the hospital (Dutton,
2022). The hospital has requested the court order
Bundy to sit for deposition (Dutton, 2022). In a
December 2022 interview with the Idaho Dispatch
about the defamation suit, Bundy said that his response
to a verdict against him would be violence: “I’m not
going to let that happen. ...And if I have to meet ‘em on
that front door with my friends and a shotgun, I’ll do
that” (Burghart, 2022).
At the time of this writing, the situation continues to
deteriorate. Bundy is aggressive and considers himself
a victim. He offers veiled threats of violence and
repeatedly fails to appear in court, forcing the hospital’s
legal team to seek the Idaho Supreme Court intervene
(Dutton, &Dawson, 2023). A judge subsequently issued
a civil arrest warrant in April 2023 (Dutton, &Dawson,
2023). The concern is Bundy’s willingness to respond
with violence when challenged (Danvers, 2021).

entitled “Stop CPS now! CONtrolled Child Trafficking/
Kidnapping” between well-known sovereign citizen
April LaJune and Isabella Lynnette, a self-appointed
“Environmental Marshall and Organic Guru” and a
mother who says she is committed to fighting CPS.
“CONtrolled Child Trafficking/Kidnapping” is the
name of a Facebook group (among other platforms) that
claims to be an investigative journalism site. Its stated
goal is to abolish CPS and to “reverse their system.”
One attack strategy that group members advocate is to
call the state director’s office and ask human resources
to provide the details on the insurance company
that holds the bonds for all CPS employees in their
respective counties. Specifically, they request bond
numbers and bonding agent details. Callers are advised
not to disclose their names, and are instead instructed
to say they are with the “Rainbow Warriors Ministry.”
