Report From Germany
Friedrich Griess
Colonia Dignidad
German victims of abuse in the
Chilean community Colonia Dignidad
are requesting reparation from the
German government because, since
1966, the German Intelligence Service
knew that torture took place there.
The German government admits
that violations of human rights were
disregarded. During his recent visit to
Chile, Federal President Joachim Gauck
criticized neglect by diplomats.
Reichsbürger
Those people who, similar to the
Freemen, claim that the German
Federal Republic is not legitimate who
create their own laws and even their
own currency and who refuse to pay
traffic fines and the like, have for long
time been considered to be harmless
cranks. But now, because several of
them have shot at policemen, they
are considered to be dangerous and
are under observation by the Office
for the Protection of the Constitution.
A businessman who tried to pay with
“alternative currency” was convicted of
fraud. However, there are indications
that even some policemen sympathize
with the Reichsbürger, or “Reich
Citizens.”
Healers
Several people have died after
treatment in the Biological Cancer
Centre Bracht, located in Brüggen-
Bracht. Now the prosecutor’s office is
investigating.
In another healing-related story,
29 naturopaths in Handeloh were
intoxicated and two of them died after
a controversial healing experiment
called psycholysis, in which a kind of
expansion of consciousness is to be
achieved with the help of drugs. A
court case against the organizers of the
experiment is pending.
Scientology
According to a decision of the
Administrative Court in Berlin, access
to trade secrets may be prohibited
for members of the Scientology
organization.
Several institutes that offer private
lessons using Applied Scholastics,
the teaching method of Scientology
founder L. Ron Hubbard, have been
criticized.
Report From Austria
Friedrich Griess
Adnan Oktar
Books of this Turkish creationist (also
called Harun Yahya) were distributed
by mail, unsolicited, in Vienna.
Energetiker
This esoteric group is now listed on the
website of the Chamber of Commerce,
which means it established itself as a
trade group and as such could become
a member of the chamber. The group
provides personal and commercial
services such as astrologic predictions,
aromatherapy, bioresonance,
kinesiology, and so on. The group’s
inclusion in the Chamber of Commerce
unfortunately gives it a kind of seal of
public approval.
Falun Gong/Falun Dafa
This controversial group frequently
offers art performances with the
title Shen Yun, which has been
interpreted as “the beauty of divine
beings dancing.”1 The backing of
these performances by the Falun
Gong is not clearly disclosed in
advertising. The group also protests
against its persecution by the Chinese
government.
One People’s Public Trust (OPPT)
This organization, similar to the
Freemen or the Reichsbürger in
Germany, denies the authority of
the state. The OPPT’s International
Common Law Court of Justice Vienna
(ICCJV) has moved to Müllheim in
Switzerland. In Vienna, three children
were taken by the police because their
parents, being OPPT members, refused
to send them to school. OPPT members
also have refused to pay car tax.
Crypto Currency OneCoin
The Styrian workers chamber warns
against the virtual currency OneCoin,
which promises high winnings with
fast access. The OneCoin system is
similar to a snowball system (a pyramid
scheme) and is suspected of being a
fraud.
Smith’s Friends
A dispute has arisen about custody
of a girl 3 and a half years old whose
mother is a member of the Smith’s
Friends movement. After the district
court issued a 10-page judgment
in favor of the father, the mother
moved to Germany with the child to
effectively prevent the father from
seeing his daughter.
Ukrain
The manufacturer of the alleged
miracle cure against cancer, Ukrain,
based in Vienna, has been condemned
to 3.5 years in prison.
