David A. Halperin, M.D. is Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School
of Medicine. Dr. Halperin has lectured extensively and published numerous articles and
books on cults, including the edited volume Psychodynamic Perspectives on Religion, Sect
and Cult.
Arnold Markowitz, M.S.W. is Director of the Cult Hotline and Clinic of the Jewish Board of
Family and Children‟s Services of New York City. He is chair of the American Family
Foundation Family Guidelines Committee.
