Below the Roots
They stunted us
Don’t think this
Don’t do that
Fit in
Our roots didn’t grow
Not properly
Spindly little roots
With all our might,
We will them to grow
But what’s below?
Is there ground that nourishes?
Ground that condemns?
Toxic ground, healthy ground?
Dig deeper
Dig like your life depends on it, it does
Dig until your fingers bleed
Scrap the exposed bone against the dirt
Dig

I Used to Be a God
Being a God is overrated
The expectations, the pressure
Save the world!
Don’t fail
Be responsible!
Be selfless
Be selfish, you’re the elite
You’re not human
Rise above!
Don’t feel!
They are beneath you
I became human
It meant, leaving my secluded world
Leaving being special
Leaving being destined
I am undestined
I am undone
I am unperfect
I am
