Lost Souls: This piece is complicated, and
transitional from top to bottom. Its main
theme is about loss, and the lost souls
departed and left behind after they had
suffered the brutal aftermath of the troubled-
teen industry. It was inspired by the song
“Lay My Body Down,” by Rag N Bone Man.
The piece is heavily layered, and encrusted
with red rose petals, the traditional flower
laid upon graves. It transitions emotionally
from the individuals’ struggle, to their
departure either from actual death or
detachment from themselves, to the pain
and loss remaining for those left behind who
loved them.
