About the Author
Nancy Miquelon, LPCC, is a clinical mental health
counselor specializing in trauma recovery in adults and
children. She is currently a mental health counselor at
Dulce Jr/Sr High School. Nancy has been in practice
since 1993 and is a cofounder and served on the board
of reFOCUS, a cult-survivor support network. From
its inception in 1992 to its conclusion in 2016, she was a facilitator
at ICSA’s annual Recovery Workshop in Colorado, which initiated
a model for cult recovery now widely recognized. In 2010, Nancy
received ICSA’s Margaret T. Singer award. Nancy was a member of the
Emissaries of Divine Light. n
