Founded in 1979, the International Cultic Studies Association is a global
network of people concerned about psychological manipulation and abuse
in cultic and other high-control environments. ICSA is tax-exempt, supports
civil liberties, and is not affiliated with any religious or commercial organiza-
tions. ICSA’s mission is to provide information, education, and help to those
adversely affected by or interested in cultic and other high-control groups
and relationships to provide etc.
Founded in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) in 1980, Info -Cult: Centre for
Assistance and for the Study of Cultic Phenomena, is a nonprofit charitable
organization. Financed by the Quebec government’s Ministry of Health and
Social Services as well as by contributions from individual donors, the orga-
nization provides help and information about groups, their ideologies and
